Upgrade From 4Gb To 8Gb Resulting In Blank Monitor

Hi, I recently bought 2x4gb G-Skill Ripjaws X, for my system.

Specs are Mobo: asus m4a78lt-m LE
Cpu: AMD Phenom 965 3.4ghz
GFX: HD5770 Radeon Msi
Ram: Previously 4gb Corsair 1333mhz
HDD:500gb Samsung
OS:Win 7 64bit
Psu: 700w (some bad generic brand)

The ram clicked into place fine, however when I turned my system on the CPU didn't beep and my monitor remained blank and unregistered.

I tried booting it with only 1 stick and the same thing happened.
For some reason my BIOS...
